For the last few days, Dooley Tombras, Eli Helbert, and myself have been hanging out in Jalcomulco, Veracruz with Jim Coffey of Esprit. Jim has shown us the goods to say the least.
The first day, Dooley, Jim, and I headed to the Tomata section of the Alseseca to run one of the cleanest pool drop rivers around. Warm temperatures and sunny skies were a pleasant surprise after the cold, snowy winter back home. The Tomata has nearly two dozen good rapids and is a creeker’s paradise. Vertical drops, slides, boofs, and incredible scenery are responsible for the worldwide recognition the Alseseca has earned over the years. Here’s some photos from the day:

Jim Coffey boofing another clean waterfall on the Tomata.

Needless to say we had a great day on the Alseseca. Next up, the waterfalls of the Oro. Stay tuned…
Chao,
Will

More, more, more…this is awesome stuff. I wish everytime I went on it there was some more vids and pics.
Truly inspiring stuff for the budding canoeist like myself.
Particularly like the shoots with Dooley…because I own the same boat. So it is definitely not the boat the limiting factor at this stage =)

    Erick,
We’re going to have some more updates on here soon, don’t worry. Sorry we can’t fill your appetite! We’re going to ALF, aka, Ain’t Louie Fest this week over in Lenoir City, TN. This is perhaps the largest gathering of open boats the world has ever known. We’ll have some updates from that and some more soon, don’t worry. Keep checking and thanks for your support!
    Cheers,
    Will Lyons
